![]() Giving ghosts an ability to physically move stuff bigger than a beer can basically turns old ghosts into movie ghosts.Įven though movie ghosts are "stronger", the power they possess, and lack of details about the limits of those powers works against scare factor. They are barely able to interact with the real world, but can cause people to hallucinate and die of scare(that is why they destroy person's sanity first, just to be able to harm him). Old ghosts are usually known to be "dead man's slipping grip on reality", being nothing more but an apparition, existing because of its last, the most powerful emotion, or memory. ![]() Movie ghosts are overexaggerated, overpowered, buffed with titan powers to manipulate landmasses and swap universes. The "old tales and superstitions" one, and "movie" one. Once again - it is just a different type of game. Current level of spooks, and ability to control how much you put yourself through is what makes it sweet, and I don't think Phasmo needs more. It is you who is annoying it, so you can do your job.Ībility to run away from a spook and have a safe haven somewhere on the map while not being completely useless is what gives the needed respite for newcomers, and horror genre newcomers. In this game, spook is not out to get you. In phasmo, nothing is out to spook you every 0.5 seconds, and I think it is exactly what makes it "boring" to you, and what I think makes it different. Most horror games follow a pretty simple formula of being followed by a spook while you're trying to do simple things, like collecting notes, or just linearly moving through the level. I think it is just different, and requires to have a taste for it. The game looks nice but its realy boring. High school - Hear / see a basketball being thrown or bouncing in one spot till someone moves closer to it in the gym or having the bell/ intercom go off. You should get the answer in no time of you do that.Originally posted by Steffmaister:Please, make the game more scarier!!! Something like the game Devour. Hi I was wondering if you thought about adding more stuff into the maps, E.g. Ask a couple of times around that spot, not that holding the spirit box must be in a 3 meter range to the ghost. Ask the ghost if he is here, if you get a sign, go where the sign occured while asking (knocking on a window, pushed item, door movement, phone ringing, for example). The easiest way is to be alone with the ghost in the room in the dark (flashlight and candle may be on). ![]() So never say, "Sandra, are you here?" if you want a box answer. ![]() Testet it out in Bleasdale over two roomsįun fact 2: ghosts also do answer during hunts (not recommended though)įun fact 3: saying the forname of the ghost before a question will negate a spirit box answer as it counts as saying the name only (which will most likely trigger just an activity, not the box). * some ghosts also only answer to people that are alone in the room (ask your team to get out of your room)įun fact 1: the spirit box can work as a relais station on the floor, so you basically can be 6 meter away from the ghost at most and still get an answer. * there is just a 33% chance the ghost might answer * you must be within 3 meters of that spirit box (does also work through walls) * the spirit box must be in a 3 meter range to the ghost (does work through walls) * lights of the room you are in must be off (ghost may be still in a lit room) * you must have said a key sentence the ghost will react to ("give me a sign", "where are you", just two examples) ![]() Like BlobMan32 already said, the basic rules are easy, though there are a lot of minor funny behaviours: ![]()
